DocFest

Sheffield DocfestDocFest is an exciting week long international festival of documentary films, and Upper Chapel is delighted to be used as a venue for some of the screenings during the festival. Offering a wealth of inspirational documentary films from across the globe, DocFest attracts people from all over the world.

The festival takes place annually in Sheffield, and brings the international documentary family together to celebrate the art and business of documentary. As well as being a film festival, DocFest also includes an industry sessions programme and marketplace, offering pitching opportunities, discussion panels and in-depth filmmaker master classes.

Sheffield DocFest also offers opportunities for experienced, debut and student filmmakers. It gives new filmmakers the opportunity to learn more about the industry and how to get involved. The Marketplace, including MeetMarket, allows filmmakers the opportunity to pitch projects to commissioning editors, distributors, broadcasters, funders and other executives from the UK, Europe and the world.
